Cellulite has been a primary focus of cosmetic technology over the years, and for good reason. Cellulite occurs in over 80% of women, affecting crucial areas such as the legs and stomach. "My liposuction is something I am so glad I made the decision to get. Because of my genetics, I always had larger thighs than most of my friends, and as I have aged gravity hasn’t been so kind. I am very pleased with my thighs now and I think it balances my figure much better." Patient Testimonial View Patient Testimonials

How Cellulaze™ Works
In order to understand how Dr. Amron's Los Angeles cellulite treatment works, it’s first important to understand cellulite. Cellulite is created when fibrous tissues under the skin stiffen, pulling down on the skin. Surrounding fat cells enlarge, pushing up on the skin. This push-pull effect is what creates the irregular or so-called “cottage cheese” appearance of cellulite. Dr. Amron understands the insecurity some of his cellulite treatment patients might have about their bodies. Because of this, he works hand and hand with you to make it a comfortable experience and helps get you the body you want and deserve to help boost your confidence.
- Cellulaze works in three ways to reduce cellulite and restore healthy, smooth skin:
- Melts the underlying fat
- Releases fibrous bands pulling down on the skin
- Stimulates collagen production
While the technology of Cellulaze is revolutionary, it still requires an experienced technician to ensure optimum results. Dr. Amron is a board certified dermatologic surgeon, meaning he is not only trained to treat superficial blemishes, he is also trained to correct deeper underlying issues that can cause problems on the surface. In the application of Cellulaze, this training is crucial to ensure you get results that are effective, comfortable and 100% tailored to you.
As with every procedure Dr. Amron delivers, his Beverly Hills Cellulaze is done with minimally invasive techniques. This means that during the entire procedure, only local anesthetic is used. You are not put under general anesthesia, and the procedure leads to faster healing and higher quality results than more invasive forms of surgery.
In performing Cellulaze, Dr. Amron uses a device very similar to a cannula. A cannula is the thin steel tube that Dr. Amron uses to perform liposuction, using it to suction out fat. Instead of a hollow tube, the Cellulaze device has a laser on the tip that is used to create rejuvenating effects under the skin. It is very thin, only about 3 millimeters in width.
During the procedure, Dr. Amron creates tiny incisions at strategic locations around the cellulite. He then inserts the Cellulaze treatment tool through that incision into the underlying fat layer. With precise, calculated motions, he uses the treatment tool to directly address the underlying structure of cellulite. With over ten years of successful surgical procedures, Dr. Amron’s skill and dexterity with Cellulaze is unparalleled. Dr. Amron also performs skin tightening to help give you a completely beautiful figure.

How much work do I have to miss after my treatment?
Most patients find they are able to return to their normal activities approximately two days following treatment with Cellulaze. It will be necessary to wear a compression garment for two to three weeks following your procedure to encourage your body’s natural ability to heal. As long as your job does not involve heavy lifting and intense physical activity, you should be able to return to work after two days. More strenuous activities may be resumed in approximately one to two weeks.
How long is treatment with Cellulaze?
Like all procedures, the duration of treatment with Cellulaze will vary from patient to patient depending on the area(s) to be treated and the extent of the cellulite in the treatment site. Treatment with Cellulaze will usually take between one and two hours. Unlike many procedures designed to address the appearance of cellulite, most patients usually only need one treatment to for significant skin-smoothing results.
Are there any side effects from Cellulaze?
Cellulaze is performed while you’re under the effects of anesthesia, meaning you won’t experience any discomfort during the procedure. You may experience moderate bruising, swelling, discomfort, or numbness following treatment with Cellulaze. Additionally, you may experience a small amount of fluid drainage from the incisions. These side effects are all temporary and should fully resolve within a few days. Since Cellulaze is only minimally-invasive and the incisions are very small, any scarring should be virtually undetectable once your incisions have healed.
How long will my results last?
Unlike most treatments for cellulite which work on the surface of the skin, Cellulaze addresses cellulite at the root of the problem: beneath the skin. You will begin to see results emerge in the weeks and months following your procedure, with final results visible approximately one year following treatment. Your Cellulaze results will be long-lasting and should be evident for at least five years following treatment. Like all procedures which address the appearance of cellulite, however, your commitment to maintaining your results through a healthy diet and exercise routine will contribute to long-term success.
